Our Approach
At Tailwinds fibre we are committed to traceability and are committed to trying to make a business based on circular economy principles.
Wool has a unique set of ‘circular’ features – such as being a renewable and biodegradable fibre, and suitable for reuse and recycling.
Traceable wool means the fibre can be traced from the farm to the finished product, ensuring complete transparency and accountability in how it's sourced and made.
Focusing on traceability ensures that consumers can trust they are supporting rural economic development, Indigenous entrepreneurship, and regional producers by strengthening a circular prairie fibre economy rooted in care for the land.
Guided by environmental responsibility and quality craftsmanship, Tailwinds Fibre Mill connects people, fibre, and land while contributing to climate resilience and the crafting community. Join us while we explore how we can not only make this sustainable product but do it through circular systems that decrease waste.
